2024-06-08, 14:00–14:25, Track 3 (Moody Rm 102)

Cybersecurity Career Ambassadors are building a community of leaders motivated to educate people about cybersecurity and cybersecurity careers. You showed up at BSides - you are motivated by cybersecurity. You are the person we're looking for. Come learn about this program sponsored by NIST's NICE, a program that has White House-level attention.

Many of us attend events like BSides to meet and inform the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. NIST's NICE program has organized a Community of Interest to facilitate just that! They have committed to build cybersecurity career awareness and expand a national workforce that is both knowledgeable and skilled in cybersecurity. The program is looking for leaders enthusiastic about bringing people together around cybersecurity, speaking and sharing knowledge to demonstrate that everyone has a place in the cyber world, and mentoring others to cultivate the next generation of diverse and inclusive protectors of cyberspace.

In this talk one of the program's co-chairs will describe the program's organization and goals, and will encourage you to get involved too.
