Having installed, repaired and upgraded dozens of large and small access control system installations, I have found that many vendors install a minimum viable product that can leave your new system unreliable and trivial to bypass.
This session will give you the tools and knowledge you need to work with your installer to install your system using best practices in the following areas:
Wiring, supervision, encryption and tamper-resistance
Choosing clone-resistant badges and securely programming badge readers
Securing badge controllers and managing issued badges
Maintaining the system for maximum security and uptime
Recovering System Administrator, now Cybersecurity Engineer. I'm into anything low voltage. My hobbies include vintage computers.
