Meshcore and Meshtastic are long range, encrypted, off-grid mesh protocols that feature many powerful modules, configurations, and settings. For beginners just getting started, it can be confusing to dive into these features.
In this workshop, you’ll explore the difference between Meshcore and Meshtastic, and the exciting modules that make each more fun and useful.
You’ll learn how to customize your frequency and encryption, add hardware like GPS and sensors, remotely control their nodes, and change the default settings to adapt to specific environments.
Attendees will learn to customize their nodes to use sensors and join local mesh nets, using the built-in modules and settings. You’ll also learn about attacks against mesh networks, and how to get involved in your local area!
